Vidhya Udare provides you with the tools and information needed to improve health through Functional Nutrition and Homeopathy. There is an abundance of research available today on the Homeopathic science of medicine, benefits of healthy eating and lifestyles and the impact it can have on not only improving but being able to prevent many chronic illnesses. Ultimately, making the necessary changes is up to the individual. I will provide the guidance and necessary tools, but YOU will need to make “Health” a priority and do the needful.

2) Can I be your primary health care provider?

NO. Vidhya Udare has extensive training in Homeopathy, and Functional Nutrition holding credentials that allow her to practice in these areas. Vidhya Udare is NOT a licensed medical doctor/physician in USA and cannot provide advice or services specific to this aspect of medicine. She does not claim to prescribe medicines, diagnose or treat diseases. She can provide referrals to health care providers if required.

3) Why I don’t participate with any insurance plans?

This is a commonly asked question “Will my insurance cover this?” Insurance restricts the type of care an individual receives. The focus of Functional Nutrition and Homeopathy is person- centered care promoting health as a positive vitality.  Insurance companies pay according to particular procedure codes, while Functional Nutrition and Homeopathy considers the totality of the symptoms and not multiple conditions that a person might be suffering with.

4) What is Functional Nutrition?

Functional Nutrition is a unique science- based system with a person -centered approach to support healing at the cellular level. Learn more about Functional Nutrition here.

5) How are Functional Nutritionists different from Dietitians?

Functional Nutrition focuses on the individual as a whole, takes into consideration the unique biochemistry, genetic constitution, lifestyle, mental and emotional health, environmental, and spiritual state. A personalized plan is created not only taking into account the complexities of the human body systems, and their interconnectedness but applies food as medicine.

6) While taking Homeopathic consultation, is it mandatory to stop all Allopathic/other medications already on?

No, it’s not advisable to stop all the medicines abruptly. You must contact your physician for advice about the medications. Homoeopathic Remedies do not interfere with other therapies, drugs, medications, supplements etc. so they can be safely used in conjunction with other medications without any side effects.

7) Is Homeopathic treatment slow?

Individuals seek Homeopathy when the health condition becomes chronic and/or have tried multiple modalities with little or no help. Homeopathy is not a miracle medicine. The human body heals in layers and since chronic conditions tend to be deep rooted, they may require longer time to show a positive response. Good and fast results have been experienced in acute cases for all age group and gender, thus proving the myth to be wrong.

8) Do Homeopathic remedies have any side effects?

Homeopathic remedies are natural, gentle, non-addictive and thus safe, but under the supervision of a well-trained, experienced, and certified Homeopath/licensed homeopathic physician. They have safely been used for all age groups like infants, children, young, elderly and even pregnant mothers. (Homeopathic medicines are regulated as drugs according to the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act.)

9) How is Homeopathy different from other systems of medicines?

Homeopathy is a 200 year old holistic system of medicine and looks into individual as a whole, considering the totality of symptoms and not the diseased condition. It not only treats the totality of the symptoms considering the person as a whole, but also gets to the root cause of the disease. It helps to boost individual’s own immune system and stimulates the body’s innate ability to heal.

10) Do I have to avoid foods such as onion, garlic, spices, coffee, tea etc while taking Homeopathic Remedies?

There is research to help understand that the above mentioned foods need not be avoided but better taken an hour before or after Homeopathic Remedies are taken. They are not seen to affect the efficacy of Homeopathic remedies.
